Not content with just a BBQ on the first Friday after camp, the Senior section decided to kick off the new year with an all-together keenites roaming around Onslow Village… devouring food…
So what happened…………..
Over 30 of the Seniors assembled at Lukey’s for a selection of starter dishes (salmon for the Seniors you know!), some crisps and splash of juice to wash it down.
We then navigated our way to the other end of Onslow Village where Paddy & Kate (assisted by Mr Jeffs) supplied ample portions of BBQ’d pork, burgers and chips – all part of the strict well-being programme designed to enhance our fitness.
In less than an hour we were on our way again, back up the hill to All Saints church, where Rob & Sian treated us to ice cream with plenty of toppings. Pete provided a talk from Matthew 14 reflecting on Jesus and Peter walking on water, with challenges to us all about how much we’re prepared to spend time with Jesus, trust Him and jump out of the boat (in faith).
A good way for us all to get to see who’s now part of the best (*ahem*) section at USG!
