Friday 21st June, the longest day of the year, an opportunity to make the most of the great outdoors, and that’s exactly what the Junior Section did….
So what happened………….
The Junior section headed to Waverley Woods for a night of cricket, wood-chopping, shelter-building, hot chocolate concocting, marshmallow toasting and doughnut eating. Even the mosquitoes couldn’t ruin the fun.
After a night sleeping under the shelters they had made, where there was just enough rain to conclude that they didn’t really leak, there was a bit of time for some bacon butties, boomerang throwing and tree-felling before heading back to the hall. No wonder both lads and leaders were exhausted!
